Craftsman Training Scheme

Our Courses

Craftsman training scheme in Kerala is a joint effort of National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) under Ministry of Labour – Government of India and Government of Kerala. The training scheme is intended to create skilled technical manpower requirement for various engineering and non engineering departments all over the world. At grass root level engineering technicians are craftsmen who do the actual technical work in engineering workshops and industries. Craftsmen are those who assist engineer in research and development, manufacturing, inspection and maintenance. The ever increasing demand of skilled technicians are existing all over the world.

Matric Trades (SSLC / Eligible for Higher Studies)

Electronics Mechanic

2 Years

This course is introduced by NCVT, Ministry of Labour, Government of India, considering the great and urgent need felt for trained manpower in the field of Electronics and communication, as a result of ever growing industrial development and rapid technological advancement. In a survey conducted by the Department of Electronics, Government of India, about the future requirement of trained manpower in the operation of sophisticated Electronic equipments, it has been revealed that there is an acute shortage of trained people in the field of Electronics. The course is meant to train youngsters to operate, maintain, service, repair and manufacture complicated Electronic equipments.

Draughtsman (Civil)

2 Years

Draughtsman Civil is a civil engineering trade, which provides training about use of drawing instruments, geometric construction, scales, orthographic projection, isometric projection etc… The trainees of this trade will undergo practical training like detailed plan preparation of various types of buildings, estimation and costing, brick masonry, stone masonry, water supply, land survey etc… It also provides training on computer skills and AUTO CAD.

Electrician

2 Years

Electrician is an Electrical Engineering trade which provides skill training on electrical safety, measuring instruments, hand tools, electrical wiring of light loads and power loads, AC and DC circuits, cells and batteries etc; Trainees of this trade will undergo structured and systematic practical training on load calculation, efficiency test and regulation test on AC and DC machines, repair and maintenance of home appliances, Electrical motor winding, Electrical starters, Protection devices, Earthing etc;

Non-Matric Trades

Wireman

2 Years

Wireman is an electrical engineering trade which imparts training on electrical wiring of light loads and power loads. The trainees are exposed to basic electrical hand tools, use of measuring instruments, safety, types of wire joints, electrical machineries such as AC and DC motors, transformers etc… Trainees are also provided with practical test on load calculation, efficiency test, regulation test on various electrical machineries.

Plumber

1 Year

Plumber is a civil engineering trade which provides training on safety, basic plumbing tools, masonry works, pipe cutting, pipe bending, pipe joining, pipe threading etc… It offers structured practical training about commercial, industrial and residential water supply and sanitary works, laying of pipe lines and sewage lines, hydraulic pumps, valves etc.
